Censorship Image #3

This image shows the artists view on internet censorship. Through the lack of color, only using black and white, the artist is showing that its a serious matter and that there isnt anything happy or colorful about the sensorship. In the image there is a pop up of an alert that says that there was a "1st ammendment error". This shows that the artist doesnt think that censorship is in line with what the 1st ammendment allows in the United States. The artists shows through this image that censorship is wrong and that if there is censorship, then there is no way for all of our rights that we have been promised can be upheld.

Senseless censor

In this article the author is making an argument against the censorship that is occuring in Iranian media. The author is making the case that censorship is ineffective. He argues that censorship doesnt make an impact because we are living in the 21st century where we have access to everything on the internet and trying to get rid of something would be nearly impossible because of how quickly everything moves and how fast everything is seen. He also argues that censorship is self distructive in nature. He argues that when people see that something is being censored they become more interested in learning about whatever is being censored when otherwise they would have never even seen it. He also suggests that the people who are looking to censor more need to start by censoring themselves and not the media.

Editorial: Censorship has no place on a college campus

In this editorial the author is showing how censorship at the University of Wisconsin -Stout is getting out of hand. The author explains how because people are being incredibly sensitive to not necessarily politically correct statements that people's right to free speech will become less and less important and soon there will be no sense of that right. He knows that there is a time and a place for excessively innappropriate remarks but he thinks that there is really a sense of over-sensitivity and that is what's causing all of the personal and general censoring at the university and in America as a whole. He finally believes that the United States was created off of the base of having the freedom to express what they deemed was appropriate to express and that if freedom of speech is gotten rid of then that would be causing the country to be dishonored.
